India of my dreams

15th august 1947, PM Jawaharlal Nehru declared from the ramparts of red fort, “When the world sleeps India shall rise to life and freedom.” From that moment, when long suppressed classes found its utterance, India for Indians has remained not just a free nation to live in but also an abode of hopes and dreams and aspirations.

Our forefathers have put in their blood and sweat in India’s making. We in our times not only have the moral obligation to fulfil their dreams but also dream. Dreams that when materialised by relentless efforts of its citizenry will truly reinstate our motherland the glory it deserves.
As India steps into the advanced world marching on to close to 7% GDP growth an year, it is only apt to dream for more. India is going to witness tremendous growth in its infrastructural capabilities be it road, rail, air traffic, energy or any sector of modern life. It is not a dream but an assured forecast. We will develop.
What remains to be dreamt are capacity building activities. Our demographic dividend shall last for the next 60 years or so. It is essential to provide education and skilled vocational training to cultivate a capable populace ready to meet the needs in the ever so demanding 21st century.
But it is equally important to help the ones who can’t meet them. The old and distressed people make the most distressed community today. An India of my dreams must provide proper security offerings to the disadvantaged in their grey years. India should be a happy place to live in, FOR EVERYONE.
For every act of mankind energy is required. Unfortunately India is energy deficient. I dream of an India which consumes majority of its energy from renewable sources like hydel, tide and solar. Energy sufficiency is the need of the hour.
To develop we need efficient populace. For that feeding them with good nutritious food is a pre-requisite. Agriculture is going to remain the backbone of Indian economy. I dream of an India happy farmers having access to world class technologies and markets across the globe. I honestly wish suicides of farmers in Vidarbha become just a matter of history for our coming generations. A happy farmer can ensure the rest of our dreams are fulfilled.
If there is a paradise on earth, it is here, it is here, it is here. Rightly said. India with its abundant flora and fauna spread over a diverse geography offers to the world a perfect tourist destination. I sincerely hope that the world in the future shall think of India as a dreamland. Campaigns like swachh Bharat are sure to fulfil my dreams in this regard.
India is set to be the market to the world with the flourishing IT and manufacturing industries that makes us more ambitious. With its young population ready to earn, save and spend, I wish India becomes an economic hotspot in the future.
Indigenous development in the defence sector will go long way not only in keeping our fortress safe but also employing a huge number of skilled labour. India will surely emerge as a major superpower in the world on its own foot. But my dream is that there should not be a need for this. The arch-rivals India and Pakistan should join hands live in harmony. We shall together emerge as a lighthouse of hope for the developing countries in the world.
Gandhian values shall be cherished in the nation however rich and prosperous we become.
An UNSC seat is surely reserved for India. But I won’t call it a dream. The dream is to become the most respected and cared for member in the UN.
India is assured to develop and grow. But dreaming of India without its people is all efforts in vein. India of my dreams shall not witness a single case of female foeticide or bride burning. My sisters shall be safe. India In the future shall be a country of Indians, not of Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Dalits or Muslims. India shall live in harmony. Communal riots and caste atrocities shall be rotten in history.      The dreamland of India shall be home for dynamic, healthy, intelligent, hardworking and meritorious people. The world shall be jealous of our sweet nation of happy people.
